Factors That Affect Color Scheme in Automobiles
Automobile Magazine:
I must also identify certain aspects that I would incorporate in my automobile magazine. Since my last post went over the factors to consider when making a color scheme for fitness magazines, I believe that the same should be done for automobile magazines. same as with fitness magazines, he color scheme will be dependent on many factors. Once those factors are identified, then an appropriate color scheme can be made.
Factors That Affect Color Scheme in Automobiles
- The Position of the car: Depending on the position that a car is in, the color scheme may vary. This is because some positions are used in order to emphasize a certain aspect or feature of the car. If the car is in a racing style position, then bright colors would be a great choice in order to convey this feeling of speed. Other positions are done in order to convey a more stylistic view of the car or set a certain tone. All these factors must be considered because there is usually a purpose behind each angle or car position.
- The type of car: These factors also have a great effect on the color scheme of the magazine. This is because different cars and styles serve different purposes. Some cars have the purpose of displaying exotic appeal while others are geared towards racing. Given this, the type of car will have a great effect on the color scheme of the magazine. For example, muscle cars might evoke a more aggressive tone therefore affecting the color scheme. Luxury cars have a different purpose, so a different color scheme than race cars may be more appropriate.
- The color of the car: This is an obvious one at first glance. The color scheme of the magazine must compliment the color of the car or cars displayed. You cannot have a red car with a red background and red letters. Same applies with black cars and black backgrounds and letters. The color of the background must complement the color of the car in a way that allows for readers to see the car and its details perfectly.
- The Purpose: This is possibly the most difficult factor of the magazine to identify. However, every magazine has a purpose and if this purpose is identified then the color scheme is sure to compliment this purpose and tone. For example, most exotic cars are futuristic looking and bring about things in the automotive world never before seen. The purpose of many exotic car magazines is to introduce this innovative technology.
